Two Yale students win Goldwater scholarships

Rising seniors Dana Feldman and Usmaan Siddiqi have been awarded Barry Goldwater Scholarships, the nation’s leading undergraduate honor for students pursuing research careers in science, mathematics, and engineering. Feldman, a chemistry major, conducts advanced research in electrocatalysis and sustainable energy systems. Siddiqi, a molecular, cellular, and developmental biology major, studies biomarkers related to chemotherapy-induced heart disease. Selected from a national pool of more than 5,000 nominees, Goldwater Scholars are recognized for exceptional academic achievement and research promise.

Yale senior named Gaither Junior Fellow

Yale College senior Maxwell Fisher ’26 was selected as a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, one of the most selective early career fellowships in international affairs.
