Yale Rep announces 2026–27 season
Yale Repertory Theatre presents its 2026–27 season, which begins in October and will be the first overseen by artistic director Evan Yionoulis ’82, ’85MFA. Yionoulis began her tenure in that role and as Elizabeth Parker Ware Dean of David Geffen School of Drama on July 1.
The season will open with a new production October 2–24 of August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, directed by Timothy Douglas ’86MFA. The Soho Rep production of Watch Me Walk, written and performed by Anne Gridley and directed by Eric Ting, follows November 14–December 5. The world premiere of the Yale Rep–commissioned Electra America by Kate Attwell ’16DFA, directed by Sivan Battat, will play January 14–February 6. Yura Kordonsky (faculty) will direct his own new adaptation of The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, March 5–27. The season will conclude with another Yale Rep commission: the world premiere of Quisqueya on the Hudson by Guadalís Del Carmen, directed by Knud Adams, April 23–May 15.
