Executive MBA program extends its reach
Yale SOM announced in June that it would open its MBA for Executives program to students pursuing general management, while maintaining its commitment to the program’s three existing areas of focus: health care, asset management, and sustainability.
Currently, students take a series of specialized courses and attended colloquia with classmates within their areas of focus. Starting with the Class of 2026, students will be able to choose electives and attend colloquium sessions from any area of focus. The program was previously restricted to students with professional experience within one of the areas of focus; it will now be open to a broader pool of applicants with significant leadership experience.
Graduates honored with Dean’s Mission and Impact Award
Four members of the Yale SOM Class of 2023 received the Dean’s Mission and Impact Award, which recognizes students whose efforts to make a positive impact on the Yale and New Haven communities embody the school’s mission to educate leaders for business and society.
The winners were Mea-Lynn Wong, a graduate of the full-time MBA program who served in student government and on the Council for Anti-Racism and Equity, and helped to create the Yale Black Venture Summit; Nicky Ou, a graduate of the master of advanced management program who, in her roles as an admissions ambassador and class representative in student government, helped diversify the program and more fully incorporate it into school life; and Caitlin Piccirillo-Stosser and Erica DeMond, both graduates of the full-time MBA program, who as coleaders of the Education Club helped create two programs that brought student volunteers into the New Haven Public Schools.
