The renovation of Hendrie Hall, long delayed by the economic downturn, is expected to go forward next year. Hendrie houses rehearsal space for the School of Music and undergraduate groups. (He famously ran into a burning building last year to rescue a woman.) Booker is running for the US Senate in 2014.
