If you’re over 35, you’ve probably noticed that people over 35 tend to develop nostalgia for the places they loved as a college or postgrad student. You may leave school with a shrug and a yen for the larger world. But as middle age comes on, one gets romantic about youth. Those bells in the twilight. That green and grassy quad. The view from the top of [your favorite tall building here].

The editors of this magazine know the feeling. It’s why we started Daily Snap: a new photo of Yale every weekday on our website and social media. Yale can be very beautiful. It’s part of our mission to supply you with all the Yale you want.

Credit for the photos goes to executive editor Mark Alden Branch ’86 and an intrepid cast of interns. Mark, an editor who has discovered a love for the camera, has been taking pictures of Yale almost nonstop since we started the feature in 2013. (The photos on this page are his.) He also writes the brief, witty captions. On a shot of a class in session on Cross Campus: “As long as people still sit in circles on grassy quadrangles, admissions viewbooks (and alumni magazine photo blogs) will never want for material.”

You can find Daily Snap on our website, our Facebook page, and Twitter and Instagram.
