Art and dance for life
The School of Art joined forces in November with the Yale African Students Association and Partners In Health to raise funds and awareness for the Ebola crisis in West Africa. The Dance for Life Ebola Relief Event was open to all and featured speakers from Partners In Health as well as remarks from Ryan Boyko ’18PhD, who had recently completed a quarantine after returning from work in Liberia. Students, faculty, and alumni of the school donated original works of art, which were awarded as door prizes to attendees who donated $25 or more. The event raised about $3,500, which was donated directly online to either Doctors Without Borders or Partners in Health.
