Bulldog Days at La Casa
For this year’s Bulldog Days, La Casa’s Open House welcomed Latine admitted students and their caregivers from across the world. Guests took guided tours, met with various resident student organizations, were serenaded by Mariachi Lux Y Veritas De Yale, and danced along with Ballet Folklorico and Sabrosura. Peer Liaisons also created a “Commitment Casita” that was populated with pictures of incoming Yale College Latine students.
Alumni engagement at The House
The Afro-American Cultural Center at Yale, affectionately known as The House, revitalized and redesigned its Life After Yale career panel initiative. Under the direction of new director and Yale College alumna Dean Timeica E. Bethel ’11, The House welcomed 30 Yale College and graduate and professional school alumni, virtually and in-person, to engage with current students through a series of monthly career panels focused on various sectors. Topics included Black Yalies in Entrepreneurship, Black Yalies in Education, and Black Yalies in Healthcare.
