Men's hockey advances to ECAC semis

The St. Lawrence Saints (18–16–4) put up more of a fight tonight than in last night's 6–1 Bulldog win, but Yale prevailed 3–0 tonight at Ingalls Rink in the ECAC Tournament quarterfinals. The Bulldogs (18–10–2) scored on two of three power-play opportunities and withstood seven St. Lawrence power plays. Next weekend, No. 13 Yale travels to Atlantic City, where the ECAC final-four teams play the semifinal and final games. If they win, they get an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament—their fourth in five years. Even if they don't win in Atlantic City, they'll have a chance at an at-large bid when the 16-team NCAA field is announced on March 24. Stay tuned!
