Since Sol Lewitt left his wall drawings to Yale after his death in 2007—actually, they are instructions for wall drawings that anyone can execute—they have been installed in the Art Gallery, at the School of Management, and on the West Campus. The newest Lewitt graces an otherwise anodyne elevator lobby on the fourth floor of the Yale office building at 2 Whitney Avenue. The lines of Wall Drawing #256A were drawn last December by 31 staffers of the Yale provost's office, which is housed there.
