Princeton Theological Seminary 1912. was born to wealth. He founded the Yale Hope Mission while an undergraduate. Its headquarters at Crown St. 305 were built in 1929, 16 yrs after his death in Egypt due to meningitis while studying Arabic. His goal had been to evangelize the Uighur muslims in China's Gansu province.
