Temple St. 345 <> The figures represent Timothy Dwight the Elder and his grandson Timothy Dwight the Younger <> The Elder was Timothy Dwight IV (1752-1817) B.A. 1769. 8th President of Yale 1795-1817. TD IV was a prodigy and known widely for his theology. Wags called him the Pope of the Connecticut Valley. <<>> The Younger was Timothy Dwight V (1828 – 1916) Congregational minister, and President of Yale University (1886–1898). He served as President of Yale College ninety years after his grandfather's tenure.
