This banner appeared mysteriously on the tower of the Yale Repertory Theatre yesterday. Parodying a series of “New Haven Notable” banners in the neighborhood that celebrate such famed Elm Citians as Eli Whitney and Benjamin Spock, the banner pays tribute to Ian Dunn, an operations associate at the School of Drama. School spokesman Steven Padla says he doesn’t know who was responsible for making and hanging the banner and why they were honoring Dunn. “Clearly, heÆs got a following at the School of Drama,” says Padla. ___________________________________________ The Yale Alumni Magazine is published by Yale Alumni Publications Inc., an alumni-based nonprofit that is not run by Yale University.
