We happened upon the A. Bartlett Giamatti ’60 memorial bench adorned with flowers yesterday and wondered if this had something to do with the Class of ’60’s 55th reunion last weekend. It turns out that at each reunion, members of the class walk across Old Campus after their memorial service in Battell Chapel and place a flower on the bench for each returning class member—a tribute to their classmate who served as president of Yale from 1978 to 1986. ______________________________________________ The Yale Alumni Magazine is published by Yale Alumni Publications Inc., an alumni-based nonprofit that is not run by Yale University.
