The Adams Center for Musical Arts—a $57.1 million renovation and new construction project linking Hendrie and Leigh Halls—has its grand opening today. Along with an orchestra rehearsal hall, new practice rooms, and additional faculty studios, the center has a comfy atrium where musicians can take a few measures of rest. (That’s the back wall of Hendrie Hall on the left.) The portrait over the fireplace is of Stephen Adams ’59 and Denise Adams, donors for whom the new center is named.
