Seeing the light

A visitor to the Art Gallery watches the shifting colors in a light installation by Thomas Wilfred, an artist who developed kinetic light sculptures in the 1920s and ’30s. The Gallery’s exhibition Lumia: Thomas Wilfred and the Art of Light includes several such pieces; the exhibition runs through July 23 and will travel to the Smithsonian Institution in the fall.
