Midcentury modern

This spot on the third floor of Paul Rudolph Hall (née the A+A Building) had been newly fitted with classic and contemporary modern furniture. It’s now known as the Ives Lounge in tribute to graphic designer and Yale professor Norman Ives (1923–1978), who designed the 1964 typographic mural seen at left.
