For decades, these lions have guarded the entrance to the Central Power Plant on Tower Parkway. Does anyone know their original home?

At last - Reuben Holden's "Yale" a pictorial history" has a grainy image showing their home, on what is now the site of Berkeley College, on the top of Lampson Hall, the centerpiece of the "Berkeley Oval". Similar placement to James Gamble Rogers' mythical creatures high on Davenports's Georgian interior. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:White,_Berkeley,_Lampson_Halls,_Yale_University,_New_Haven,_Conn..jpg
