Farewell to furniture

After decades in the basement of 149 York Street, the Yale University Art Gallery’s furniture study is moving to the West Campus. (As their neighbors two floors above, we’ll miss them!) For the last weekly tour on York Street today, American decorative arts curator Patricia Kane (center) invited guests to evaluate three sets of similar pieces and decide how each piece would be classified under the “good, better, best” rubric developed in the mid-twentieth century.
