We do declare

On display through next Wednesday at the Beinecke Library: one of 26 known copies of the Dunlap Broadside, the first printing of the Declaration of Independence. Yesterday, the Beinecke staged a reading of the Declaration and of Frederick Douglass’s famous oration “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?”
