Furniture, rearranged

After 60 years in the basement of 149 York Street, the Art Gallery’s collection of American furniture has some breathing room. The Leslie P. and George H. Hume Furniture Study Center, which includes more than 1,300 pieces, opens next month in a two-story space on Yale’s West Campus. There will still be public tours every Friday.
