Happy Juneteenth! This image of a Juneteenth celebration in 1920s Oklahoma comes from a silent film by amateur filmmaker Solomon Sir Jones. Jones filmed scenes of African American life around Oklahoma from 1924 to 1928. The films are in the Beinecke Library's collection; you can see them on the library’s website.
