The comment period has expired.The Yankee Doodle, a diner on Broadway known to its regulars as "The Doodle" and as a source of after-hours comfort food to Yalies of my generation, and of many before and after. Now the neon street sign is immortalized by Patrick L. Pinnel's design. What year did the Doodle close up shop?
That's it! The Doodle closed in January 2008.
