A doctor's legacy

On Wednesday, the School of Medicine unveiled a bust of Yan Fuqing, who was the first Asian to earn a doctorate from the school in 1909. Yan returned to China, where he was founding dean of two medical schools. Representatives of those schools and members of Yan’s family were on hand for the unveiling and an academic program.
