Context for a Lost Cause memorial

Dedicated in 1915, Yale's Civil War memorial makes no mention of slavery and honors equally Union and Confederate students, faculty, and alumni who died in the war. Recently, a touch-screen kiosk was installed near the memorial to “inform visitors about its history and provide additional resources,” according to the website of the Yale and Slavery Research Project.
