Now and then: Chapel Street

The only building visible in both these views of Chapel Street—one taken in the 1870s, the other yesterday morning—is Street Hall, second from right. At far right in the old picture is Union Hall, also known as South College, which was demolished in 1893 to make room for Vanderbilt Hall.
