The first anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel was marked with several events on campus yesterday. Yale Friends of Israel set up a shabbat table on Cross Campus (shown here) with places set for each of the 101 Israeli hostages held in Gaza. The chaplain's office held a silent vigil at the Women's Table Sunday evening to commemorate all the lives lost in the attacks and the subsequent war, the Slifka Center and Chabad at Yale had their own vigil last night to mourn the Israeli lives lost on October 7, and Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine marked “a year of mourning genocide” with an event on Beinecke Plaza.
