Dog stars

Two of Yale's top dogs took a moment to lie in the grass yesterday in the midst of a celebration on the Yale Health Center lawn. The guest of honor, seen here with Handsome Dan XIX, was Officer Heidi, a six-year-old labrador who is retiring after five years as a community service dog with the Yale Police. The celebration featured food trucks, lots of local media, and dozens of dogs, both uniformed and civilian.  |
