Throwback Thursday: fish tales

You've all been there: You're at a tailgate or a reunion, and some Old Blue wants to tell you about the glory days of Yale athletics. So you've surely heard more than once about the years when the Bulldogs were a national powerhouse in . . . fishing? This photo from our December 1975 issue accompanied an article about how Yale's fishing team had recently won the Intercollegiate Fishing Match for the fifth time in the 20-year history of the event. The Yale Fishing Club, founded in 1948, is still active today.
