If you've ever wondered what happened to the giant record-player sign from Cutler's, or the time clock from the old Arena, or the Columbus statue from Wooster Square, the answer is "Robert Greenberg's got it." A New Haven native, Greenberg has been collecting local artifacts since he was eight years old. After a career as an art director and designer in New York City, he returned to found Lost in New Haven, a vast museum of signs, building fragments, and Elm City ephemera. Alums of all generations will find plenty to jog their memories. It's currently open on Monday and Thursday afternoons; more info on their website. |
