A special building given in honor of Mary H. Chittenden Lusk, with the most lovely window at Yale, by Tiffany. Mary Lusk, a young mother, died early, possibly of puerperal illness. Her husband, Physician William Lusk, Yale 1859, would go on to create his own memorial to her by becoming the country's leading authority in germ theory and in combating diseases related to childbirth. One of her young sons would go on to marry a daughter of Louis Comfort Tiffany and be a long time professor at Yale.
