Happy trails

Since the new residential colleges opened, foot traffic has been picking up on the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail, a former canal and railroad line that has been converted into a pedestrian and bicycle path. Although there are a few gaps still to be filled in along the way, the trail will soon stretch unbroken for 81 miles north to Northampton, Massachusetts.
