Yale’s tradition of elaborate wrought iron gates did not end with the celebrated Samuel Yellin. The new residential colleges feature several gates by the designers at Robert A. M. Stern Architects and metalworker Zoltán Kovács, including the Class of 1964 gate (shown here) in Benjamin Franklin College.
