It’s official: Yale announced on Tuesday that fundraising goals have been met to allow the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs to become the Jackson School of Global Affairs this fall. Jackson Institute director James Levinsohn will be dean of the school, which is Yale’s first new professional school since 1976. In addition to the institute's current home at 55 Hillhouse, the new school will take over these houses across the street at 52 and 56 Hillhouse.
