Twenty-five years ago this month, Hillary Clinton ’73JD and George W. Bush ’68 addressed graduates on successive days. Clinton, who had been elected a US senator the preceding November after eight years as first lady, was invited to speak to seniors on Class Day. Bush, who had been chosen as president of the United States in the same election, spoke and received an honorary doctorate at commencement. |
