Happy quasquitercentennial!

Today is Yale's 325th birthday. On October 9, 1701, the Connecticut General Assembly approved "An Act for Liberty to Erect a Collegiate School," granting a charter to ten ministers to found the college that would become Yale University. On Cross Campus this afternoon, students, faculty, staff, and guests in town for Family Weekend celebrated with warm apple cider, donuts, and kettle corn. And around the corner at the Beinecke Library, that original charter and other artifacts from Yale history were on display in a popup exhibit.
