During Yale College’s famous “shopping period,” in which students have a chance to try out courses before making their final schedules, faculty find creative ways to promote their courses. Professors Michael Hunter and Tina Lu turned to current events to tell students about The Chinese Tradition, an “introduction to the literature, culture, and thought of premodern China” in the East Asian Languages and Literatures department.
